She found the word that sounds just right,
Hypergraphia, an overwhelming urge to write.
A thing in common of Van Gogh and Carroll,
two who are her inspiration and idol.
This similarity, though not as severe,
for she's not alone as it was to appear.
You don't know me,
though you think you do.
You're trying to be free,
if only you knew.
Words preserved,
respect deserved.
Silence present,
though no discontent.
The mystery of a diary,
reveals the hidden vocabulary
from an unknown lover gone shy
with the innermost wants to die.
Hide away your deepest desires,
protect them with burning fires.
Every day continue to grow
and stronger you will show.
We all have that potential
to achieve that deep down dream,
no matter how insignificant or essential,
To stand up strong and begin to gleam.
Let's forget the past of winter's words
and find the radiant truth of summer's song.
To discover hidden realms of our desire
as we get caught up in the swaying throng.
The chapters continue to write themselves,
never-ceasing in their progression.
Stars faded into broken shards
as age summoned its restriction.
How fast things go, always flying by
shining sunsets gone in blinks of an eye
Autumn has finally come to bear,
falling lives are dancing in midair.
Alone she treads
now forgotten,
mist in moonlight,
a mirror broken.
Run far and fast my child,
depart from this affair.
Guard your hapless heart,
save your soul to someday share.
Dreamwalker--
his eyes meet with hers,
only to slowly fade away.
For she wakes to light of day.

Factions
Black man hates White man, and Green man loathes Gray,
Gray man beats Red, for his deviant ways,
Red man and Scarlet have always been close,
And form an alliance against other folk.
Purple and Beige men are all quite convinced,
The world would be better without men of Pink,
And the heinous acts meted out by the Golds,
On the poor Pastel factions are best left untold.
The cultures of Yellow and Blue are now past,
As Green men subsumed them and wiped out their caste,
And Brown men have conquered what's left of the Tans,
All driven by fear of their fellow man.
From the midst of this chaos arises some hope,
The words of calm reason t

Comic Book Hero
We met in the Summer, I was single and free,
So fragile and sweet, he took care of me.
He was so much fun, exciting and new,
It was all so amazing, too good to be true.
Like a comic book hero, he swept me away.
He promised me the world, the night and day.
But his heart was untrue, his words were lies.
No comic book hero, but a villain disguised.
Our romance was deep, like Superman and Miss Lane
Iron Man, Miss Potts, Spidey and Mary Jane.
He impressed me with gifts, and words sublime,
Affirmations of how he would always be mine.
Like a comic book hero, he swept me away.
He promised me the world, the night and day.

The Story of Girls and Boys
See that girl?
She made him smile on his worst days,
She stayed up to talk to him every night.
He made mistakes but she forgave him always,
He ignored her - he knew that wasn't right.
He didn't care, took her love for granted;
He expected her to always just be there.
She liked him but she wasn't what he wanted,
He dated other girls, she tried not to care.
Finally, she left, didn't want to wait forever
She found a better guy who liked her too.
This guy saw her potential, he adored her;
His intentions with her were honest and true.
Seeing them together made him realize something:
Without her, he was stuck in a lonely world.

This is a collection of some of my poetic works thoughout the year. Each goes by what month posted, even if written in a different month. This is an essential reflection of my works this year showing my growth as well as personal life in some aspects. Each stanza is a month of the year.
Yes, I know this sounds a little bit like an Ipod on shuffle for the stanzas are not even due to each stanza coming from an individual work. That is the intention.
